A Pond Liner is an impenetrable, water-repellent geo-membrane used to retain liquids. Their expansive use is for linings of reservoirs, retention basins, hazardous and non-hazardous confinements, ponds/ garden ponds and artificial streams. Essentially used in ponds to keep water from seeping into the soil, they form an impermeable layer between the water and the soil to prevent water loss, Pond liners provide a base for plants to root themselves in and provide a comfortable environment for fish to explore. Lining of ponds and reservoirs improve water availability over a longer period of time, are economical and an effective method of storing water. And highly useful in porous soils where water retention in ponds and water harvesting tanks is minimal.
